Standing with the sons of the soil.
At Bhoomiputra Foundation, our primary aim is to connect with the coastal communities of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region - and implement programs for the betterment of these communities.
The MMR is India's fastest-growing region, encompassing multiple adjoining districts and attracting a diverse population from various Indian states.
Our vision, ‘Rights for the Right People,’ emphasizes that the sons of the soil should not be neglected amidst this enormous growth. We are dedicated to ensuring their rightful place in this dynamic landscape. At the heart of our mission, we aim to become a catalyst for community betterment and a youth collective, amplifying our unique voice through impactful programs that reach decision-makers and authorities.
Our foundation is committed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), which we prioritize in all our programs and initiatives. The objective of our program initiatives is to empower communities through capacity building, entrepreneurial development, and by connecting the dots between government, startups, and many more entities.
Through collaboration with various partners and academia, we develop unique initiatives that leverage both expertise and local knowledge. With strong grassroots support, our goal is to develop sustainable communities, ensuring long-term growth and prosperity for coastal communities in the region.
“Connecting communities to hope and opportunities for a better tomorrow. Driven by the need for change, Bhoomiputra Foundation empowers youth to lead where outdated systems have failed, shaping a brighter future for coastal communities.”

Empowering coastal communities, from tradition to tomorrow.
Bhoomiputra Foundation is dedicated to empowering coastal communities through social entrepreneurship, bridging technology and tradition, and promoting sustainable development. We nurture youth leadership to address gaps left by outdated systems, ensuring active engagement with authorities and visible progress. By preserving cultural heritage, fostering vibrant cultural activities, and creating opportunities, we aim to build a self-reliant and thriving society that celebrates its identity while embracing growth and equity for all.
A flagship cohort with ICAR-CIFE.
Bhoomiputra Foundation marked a significant milestone with its inaugural cohort by collaborating with ICAR-CIFE (Central Institute of Fisheries Education, Mumbai). Recognising the untapped potential of coastal communities, the Foundation proposed an innovative plan to ICAR-CIFE's Agri-Business Incubation program, securing its first MoU with the prestigious central government institution.
The cohort was a resounding success, bringing together over 100 members of coastal communities, 25 agri-business startups, and 25 aspiring student entrepreneurs, reflecting the government's push for youth-led innovation in agriculture. Spanning two intensive days, the event fostered knowledge exchange, showcased entrepreneurial opportunities, and empowered participants to embrace sustainable growth strategies.
Graced by the presence of former Governor of Uttar Pradesh Shri Ram Naik ji and ICAR-CIFE leadership - including Vice-Chancellor and Director Dr. C.N. Ravishankar and Jt. Director Dr. N.P. Sahu - the occasion resonated with inspiration. Shri Shantanu Bhadkamkar, Chairman of the Committee at ASSOCHAM, added valuable insights, further enriching the program. Media partners Maharashtra Times and Fishery News amplified the impact, ensuring the event reached a wider audience.
