Membership information
When you apply for membership we ask for your name, phone number, email, village, district or area, and settlement type, along with an age band, gender, education level, occupation, whether you already work with a social organisation, how you would like to take part, and your preferred language. You tick a consent box before any of this is sent to us.
We collect an age band, never a date of birth. We do not ask for and do not want your caste, religion, income, Aadhaar number, or any other government identity number. Please do not send those to us.
We use membership information only to verify and enrol you, to issue your member ID, to contact you about programmes you said you were interested in, and to understand which coastal and inland pockets we still need to reach. We do not sell or rent it. Aggregate counts, such as the number of members in a district, may appear in our public reports, but never with your name attached.
We keep application records for as long as you remain a member and for three years after your last contact with us, after which they are deleted. You can ask us at any time to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, withdraw your consent, or delete your record. Write to us on WhatsApp at the number below and we will act on the request within thirty days.
