Coastal Rise
A community model helping coastal families move up the value chain, from morning catch to direct-to-kitchen.
Coastal Rise organises coastal families into member-owned cooperatives that own the cold chain, negotiate collective prices, and sell directly to restaurants and residents. We invest in traceable seafood, fair pricing, and community reinvestment funds. Started with 14 families in Versova; today it works across five districts of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Project Red Dot®
A single red dot on a wrapper protects the women and sanitation workers who handle our waste.
A behaviour-change program that asks households to mark menstrual and sanitary waste with a small red dot for safe segregation. Built in partnership with municipal bodies, RWAs, salons, campuses and schools across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Youth Catalyst
A collective of young leaders shaping the coast's next decade.
A fellowship for 18-24 year olds from Bhoomiputra's partner wards. Each fellow receives a stipend, a senior mentor, and leads one neighbourhood project of their own design. Priority is given to first-generation graduates and residents of coastal fishing settlements.
Bridging Horizons
Community, academia, research institutes and civic bodies - sharing one table.
A research and mentorship track that connects graduate researchers and fishing-community leaders with academic partners such as ICAR-CIFE, so coastal knowledge feeds into practical training, documentation and policy submissions.
